Storms don't last forever.
There will always be
A BRIGHTER DAY
Life can be hard as you transition into adulthood.
It's okay to feel confused and lost.
It's okay to feel like you don't have the emotional resources to deal with life's challenges.
It's okay to be less than perfect.
No matter how hard it is, or how hard it gets, you'll always be able to make it through.
You have to stop thinking that you'll be stuck in your situation forever.
We feel like our heart will never heal, or we'll never get out of this impossible struggle.
Don't confuse a season for a lifetime—even your trials have an expiration date.
You will grow, life will change, and things will work out.
Quiz: Am I depressed?
Assessments can be a valuable first step toward getting treatment. Sometimes, we don't seek help out of fear that our problems aren’t legitimate or severe enough to warrant professional intervention.
Please read each question carefully, and indicate how often you have experienced the same or similar challenges in the past 2 weeks.
DISCLAIMER: This quiz is NOT a diagnostic tool. Mental health disorders can only be diagnosed by a licensed mental health provider or doctor.

the story behind
A Brighter Day
We founded A Brighter Day in 2015 in memory of my son, Jake Kallen.
Every year, tens of thousands of teenagers struggle with thoughts of helplessness, isolation, depression, and suicide. Sadly, the parents of these teens are the last to learn this, and sometimes after it's too late to take action.
A Brighter Day was founded to help spread awareness about how to recognize and find help for depression, and to build community through social events.
From my family to yours, I thank you for being part of A Brighter Day Charity.
